Monday, November 21, 2022 - From a well-cellared bottle that was decanted off of its sediment, this opaque ruby wine was serially tasted over a three-hour period. Loaded with dark bramble fruits, fig, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and Asian spices, it is a full-bodied, freshly acidic offering with with seamless alcohol (15%), proportionate oak and polished tannins. Layered on the mid-palate and lengthy on the back end, this has gotten even better than when last tasted 12/31/2020 and will have greater longevity than previously projected. If you choose to pop the cork at this stage, give it an hour or more in decanter. Drink now-2033.
