In the mouth this is quite powerful compared to other grand marques, but also on the rather more sturdy side (unlike, say, Ruinart or Roederer). Pleasantly dry and refreshing. However, at Laurent-Perrier the millésime bottlings are my preferred choice, both 2008 and 2012 are a clear step up and fairly priced.
