Tuesday, January 17, 2023 - 1/6. 12% abv. AP 06. 62°F. There is an unusual pace to the shifting sensations in this drink. It begins with a nose heavy with sweet herbs, grapefruit and citronella. Subordinate layers of yuzu, gooseberry, cherry pit, and hot cinnamon candy finally invite an impatient drink. Thick, taut, and arid connective structures teem with exotic linzer jams, poppyseed, obsidian gravel, and blackberry. Ruthlessly dry. Fat with bone extract. It's severe as a drink finishes bitter, only to shimmer a residue of busy pollination and other savage, botanical perfumes.
