Tuesday, February 14, 2023 - Decanted and drank within two hours with a reverse sear smoked ribeye. Threw some sediment Amazing pairing.

Wine has ample acidity, tannins are very mellow and integrated, yet feel a bit woody. Very restrained wine with elegant berry fruit. Sandalwood and some graphite notes coming through. Finish is 30+ seconds.

I haven't had a ton of opus. Don't think this vintage is going to get much better though. I know '11 was a challenging year through California.
