Sunday, February 19, 2023 - In my opinion Tignanello always underwhelms. In the 19 there’s just too much oak present detracting from any fruit or nuance. There’s a decent amount of Cabernet in the blend here and blind I’d have guessed $50 Super Tuscan or Napa. Tobacco, cloves, cherry, vanilla…. Nice creamy texture with moderate tannin/acid. Good but a struggle for well over $100.
