Tuesday, February 28, 2023 - Deep yellow. They don't make $20 wines like this anymore. Complex, detailed and almost spellbinding on the nose, this offers aromas of fresh green apple, starchy quince, dried yellow plums, celery leaf, brown lentils, braised carrots, white pepper, dried flowers and a crushed rock sort of minerality. Medium bodied on the palate but with a lot of junk in the trunk for a wine at 12.5% abv. This has medium+ acidity and an awesome balance between crisp, brightness and textured richness. Expansive and really delicious.
