Sunday, March 19, 2023 - This is in a great spot. It doesn't show the 14.5% abv much at all. The fruit is still juicy and ripe, but it retains amazing freshness and balance and is utterly delicious. The tannins are very fine and still are plentiful but not too obtrusive or overpowering. The acidity is just right - keeping the wine lifted. The finish is decent. The wine lacks persistency and complexity, but at this price point that is to be expected. I plan to drink my remaining bottles through 2026 as I don't see this getting much better than it is now, but I have no doubt this will hold another decade+ if interested.
