Saturday, May 9, 2009 - Vintages Tasting with Aldo Vacca (Concord, MA): The Ovello was rich and delicious, the essence of what has been so good about early tastings of the '04 Piedmonts. Cherry fruit with menthol, pine, spices and licorice - ripe tannins and long finish; it is all there. This was remarkably ripe and smooth, but full of stuffing.
