Thursday, June 8, 2023 - Tasted double blind. Easily identifiable as Central Cali Syrah. A very seductive, sexy wine with beautiful olive notes. For a higher rating it would have needed a touch higher complexity and precision but this was lots of fun to drink and easily on a 93/94pts level.
TN: At first a bit muted on the nose, then more and more dark fresh black fruit and loads of olives. On the palate expressive from the get-go. Lots of dark fruit, not too ripe, spices, some herbs and again loads of olives. Medium precision. Ultra-velvety structure and feel with good freshness. Well balanced.
Decanting: 1-2 hours should do the job.
