Thursday, May 21, 2009 - The bottle was in perfect shape; opened about 1.5 hours prior to consumption. A purple core, turning to red at the rim. A relatively outgoing bouquet, offering up notes of ripe black fruits, anise, smoke and pencil. Medium-bodied on the palate, with a pleasing mouthfeel, good delineation, and a nicely structured and lengthy finish.
