Wednesday, June 28, 2023 - Super Tuscans - Berry Brothers; 6/28/2023-7/28/2023 (St James St, London): Dark red, some bricking. Soapy opening nose, black fruit, some pepper notes, warm. Taste is fruity, fine age, cassis, open structure and very good. Additional air increases the sweetness compared to the more Snagiovese based Tuscans.
Interesting how the cab sav/merlot combinations in the Super Tuscans makes this/them a more 'international' and easier drinking wine. Does this make them too similar to Bordeaux?
