Saturday, July 15, 2023 - The last of my original WineBerserkers order. Opened about 90 minutes prior to the first pour to allow this wine to air out. Much more of a rich purple color than your standard Pinot with sharp blue and red fruit aromas.
The 14.7% ABV figure is no joke, as this wine is more than medium-bodied with ample acidity and good grip from the tannins. Excellent concentration with notes of black currant, blackberry, cranberry, and sweet tobacco. Good length on the finish. It's important to note also that each glass is just a little better than the one before.
Similar to the Ariane, but to a slightly lesser extent, this wine will benefit from more cellar time. If you can't wait however, it's excellent now.
