Sunday, August 6, 2023 - Bought it at Costco.
NOT like the more complex and nuanced Pinot from Burgundy but good for moods when one prefers a ripe Pinot. A fair amount of acidity controls the ripeness, and the fruit in itself is not overpowering, but still a “fruity” wine. Tannin is nice and mellow. Would prefer a little more complexity though.
These higher-end “New World” wines are more difficult to distinguish from their much cheaper alternatives.
(I think and probably to state the obvious) The moral of the story is to stick to the best Burgundies if one wants a Pinot.
