Friday, May 29, 2009 - Fresh nose of raspberry liqueur, perfume like black fruits, herbs, baking spices and dark chocolate. Brandy perfume scents fill the glass rounded with brambly boysenberries and spicy oak. Nice full bodied porto covering the palate. Good acidity and fruit keep this lively finishing with more raspberry liqueur, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Still very young with tannins upfront and heavy on the finish. Touch of heat that hasn't quite integrated but nice and developing. Long finish that lingers for 45 seconds +.
