Saturday, September 23, 2023 - Out of the bottle it seemed disjointed and out of place. We set the bottle aside after 30 minutes and began drinking a 2016 Bevan Tench which we'd been decanting for the previous hour. The Bevan was superb but what we didn't know was that over the next hour and a half. the Pine Ridge had opened and exploded into the most gorgeous and balanced wine. We were shocked at how beautiful the mouthfeel was, and with a wonderfully long lasting finish. This was the surprise winner of the evening which included heavy hitters 2016 Bevan Tench EE and 2019 Littorai-The Return. With Tim and Katie for her birthday over ribeye and lobster.
