Thursday, January 4, 2024 - Tasted in Hobart at the Astor restaurant. Had it with wallaby steak / duck breast.
Still quite young: Darkest read, bordering on black; purple rim. Fragrant nose of dried cherries and just a tad of eucalyptus, good palate feel with tannins/acidity well integrated at first.
Later the dusty tannins come more to the foreground.
Drank well.
