Friday, February 2, 2024 - Like the unruly child of a Bordeaux and a Beaujolais, this is characterful and actually rather tasty. The nose can't decide whether it's showing fruit, funk or graphite - or it's perhaps all three mixed together. As bitter as an amaro when drunk, again plenty of funk, and a hint of dusky flowers towards the finish. Acidic in a food-friendly fashion, so went well with my beef and dumplings, but rewarded careful examination after dinner too. Well done.
