Saturday, March 2, 2024 - The wine has an orange rim, but nice dark red color overall. Lots of blueberries, licorice, blackberries, cassis, black olives and herbs de Provence.

I decanted the bottle an hour or so ago.

As I experienced with my previous bottles of this vintage, the tannins have softened and it is ready to enjoy, but they are still noticeable. It shows Bandol typicity as it will probably always show a rustic side.

Day two: I saved half of this bottle into a 1/2 bottle, stuck the cork in it and put it back in the cellar overnight. So this evening, this is not such a great wine. I am not sure what to think about this. Now there is a lack of fruit plus drying tannins on the palate.
