Sunday, March 17, 2024 - Good flavor right at opening, more like a Russian River profile. Very good at initial sip but fades quickly and felt thin in flavor. The intensity waned and did not persist, but the initial attack was quite good. Felt this on side of tongue mostly on the middle. Good bouquet. Not as deep colored as in previous vintages. Lot of energy here, and medium acidity. Tart, but not quite cherry. Different in style than in previous vintages, not as extracted, and more finesse as a result. Good, ready now, and might see 5 more years of age. Vacuum sealed now to have in one week. Was Ok then but as I recall but seemed best the first day.
