Dark fruit, plum, blackberry, prune, herbaceous notes, intense tobacco, milk chocolate, light espresso, spices, balsamic notes, and notable old-age sweetness, with medium-level acidity, mostly resolved tannin, and good to very good length. Medium-bodied, with good concentration. A little angular. Leathery and balsamic on day two. Drink now, and over the next five or six years.
