Wednesday, April 17, 2024 - Dark cherry, blue plum, green cigar, a little leather and oyster shells, a little bandaid and graham cracker, a little stewed veggies and violets... Plush texture, juicy fruit, nice veg and tobacco tones, a little medicinal, just a little tangy toward to finish, grippy numbing tannins take over as everything fades. Pretty classic, a bit rough and tumble, but I like the typicity and overall balance. Probably more interesting in a few years, not sure it'll be worth following more than another 10 or so. In a good spot now, I might look to pair it with lamb.
