Saturday, April 20, 2024 - Nice medium gold with slight green reflections. On the nose upon opening, rather timid menthol/aniseed, white fruit, flowers. On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity, sweet-like, lifted with a good acidity, ethereal with a very very good length of the floral and fruit aromas with added minerality. Touch of oak and buttery popcorn as well.

A sip is like inhaling a light but wonderful perfume. This has a nice balance and ultimately, I prefer it to the heavier (but still excellent Morgeot) and to the (also excellent) more tensile and edgy Caillerets, all from the same producer and vintage. Just a wonderful balance!

No rush to drink. I will likely have my next one within three years in 2027 or so. 93
