White orchard fruit, citrus (incl. orange peel), rich and with a superlative length. No need to keep it any longer (the color is a profoundly yellow and there is a slight oxidation).

Nice medium gold with slight green reflections. On the nose upon opening, rather timid menthol/aniseed, white fruit, flowers. On the palate, the attack is frank, fruity, sweet-like, lifted with a good acidity, ethereal with a very very good length of the floral and fruit aromas with added minerality. Touch of oak and buttery popcorn as well.
A sip is like inhaling a light but wonderful perfume. This has a nice balance and ultimately, I prefer it to the heavier (but still excellent Morgeot) and to the (also excellent) more tensile and edgy Caillerets, all from the same producer and vintage. Just a wonderful balance!
No rush to drink. I will likely have my next one within three years in 2027 or so. 93

Stored in a wine-cooler at 13 degrees Celsius since 2016. Color: golden yellow. Modest, soft nose. In the taste peach, a nice dose of luxourious oak, mint in the finish. Soft, deep and complex. I was brought to open this bottle by the TN's that this wine would be tired already. It doesn't show the ernergy it probably had in its youth, but I would not call this bottle tired. It is mature, delicate and easy drinking. A beautiful, absolutely delicious wine, real class! Still glad I am drinking it now, because I think it might loose quality with further keeping. 93-94.

White orchard fruit (pear, apple), spearmint, citrus. Ripe fruit, dense and mouth coating. This bottle has lesser tension compared to the last one. Still very good, but time to drink them (at least for this one).

Straw color when opened but after double decanting for a few hours the color deepened remarkable to mid gold. The initial freshness vanished too so that the wine was deeply flavored and mature. This Chassagne was all about the dirt; no flowers in this one. Lots of hazelnut and nut skin. Curry and nutmeg. Really interesting flavors at first but broadened out and lost focus after a while.

This wine is amazing … if anyone has had the chance to taste Ramonet Montrachet, this is the budget version. It’s 90+% as good and it’s 1/10 the price ! Creamy mouthfeel with freshness of lime and other exotic fruits coupled with that wonderful Ramonet minerality. Stellar wine.

This is a wonderful wine with fresh, well defined complex aromas, a superb creaminess met by a high freshness. The complete package and already open and ready to drink. Yet, it should age gracefully and become even better and more complex. 96+ pts.
TN: Medium expressive nose with hints orange, lime, some herbs, some bakery, flowery scents, and a beautiful salinity. On the palate this is shows expressive with layers of lemon, lemon curd, fresh apple, crushed rocks, fine herbal scents, some hints of smoke and flint and a salty backbone. Very round and balanced, complex, deep and highly precise. Very well delineated with a high but well-rounded acidity. Nicely creamy texture, very good length.
Decanting: Not decanted, no decanting necessary.

Mineral with smoke and charred wood but also salty minerality. A touch of petrol-like notes. Stone fruit, white peach, citrus but also some tropical elements. Round, fresh acidity, slightly creamy with an amazing silky texture. There is a lightness to it that is utterly appealing. This was utterly pleasant and while not being world-class due to a lack of depth, this did point in the right direction.

Wine lover1808’s observations in last note are same as mine as to it’s evolution, and longevity. I pick up more lime zest than lemon curd, but that’s being picky. Wonderful sense of place, beautiful white minerals throughout. I have the sense that the wine needs either greater vibrant acidity, or a bit more textural structure to tease GC quality, but it is what it is, no secrets, charms revealed, not exciting but well bred and delicious, shows best with roast chicken or veal.

Such a precise and clean wine, a fine dusty mineral finish - light and airy powder like talcum. Finish is quite long and there is considerable tension and fruit from mid palate to finish. I am quite fond of the fineness of the texture.

When in Beaune.. An amazing experience to taste a bottle of top Premier Cru Ramonet before our tasting there tomorrow morning! This 2014 offers incredible brightness, energetic orchard fruits and acidity grip, Les Ruchottes has a Grand cru tension that I adore. Ripe citrus and tropical fruits, clean slate and slight gun smoke. Extracted phenols on the palate. Drink now to 2032. (93/100)
A gorgeous nose of honeysuckle, white peach and aniseed. It is intense and sappy in the mouth, but also has a lightness of touch. Flavours build and it is is cut by a fine line of minerally acidity. There's plenty of chalky dry extract to the back-end and it is so beautifully balanced and proportioned. I reckon this is close to Grand Cru quality in most years. In 2014 it is Grand Cru quality.

Possesses the Ramonet spearmint thing and the purest of white peach aromas and flavours you can imagine. It has volume, coupled with precision. There’s so much mineral just below the surface of fleshy orchard fruits and there’s length to burn.

Already irresistible, though patience will pay off for sure. Mostly lemon notes at this stage, with some peach and orange as well. Tight, taut but still displaying the richness that will no doubt develop. Fine minerality. Long finish.

Nose of matchstick, lemons, pears, and herbs to start. The matchstick blew off somewhat to let the tart yellow fruit, herbaceousness, and, of course, the mint show through. On the palate the fruit is somewhat subdued and dominated by very linear acidity. I still loved it for its precision and purity though. It's always a real treat to drink a wine this singular and racy. Hold until 2020 at least.

Obviously young but expressive. There’s some spearmint, white peach and mineral on the nose. It is textural in the mouth, layered with orchard fruits, lactic things and minerals. It is unctuous without being heavy in the slightest. It collects at a fine minerally point towards the end and then fans out. Brilliant stuff.

Spring Swing Through France-Random Wines Tasted or Imbibed; 4/14/2018-4/25/2018 (Burgundy, Alsace, Paris): Light yellow. A hint of match stick but mostly lemon and white flowers. Light to medium bodied, sharp, underripe lemon on the palate. Very 2014. It comes across as tart right now, but I hope that this will ameliorate with time. I preferred its purity to the more heavily wooded Lamy we had earlier today.

Leiden revisiting Calla’s: Slightly restricted nose, fresh, mint, citrus. Full bodied wine, acidic and mineral backbone, impressive material. Still young, but already good mouthfeel and length.

Bright yellow. A rich nose of yellow fruit, medium weight body, and unctuous mouthfeel, the 2014 Les Ruchottes is balanced by a wall of acid. Drink starting 2020.

The Ruchottes is a real classic this year, opening in the glass with notes of mint, apple, pear, noble reduction and subtle noisette. On the palate the wine approaches grand cru concentration and depth, with a velouté texture and great precision and length. Fantastic stuff.

Very good and also very young. Some trademark Ramonet mint. Floral, citrus. Seems a bit subdued now but have lots of tension and persistence. I'm sure it will develop into something great.
