Thursday, September 3, 2009 - Deep plum colour. Dark fruits on the nose with a higher sweet note of raspberries and strawberries. Burnt toffee, crumble and cream represent the pleasing oak characteristics, with more subtle floral and light spice elements. Smooth tannins, consistent but not opulent, with a medium length finish. The palate is sharp but not just from the tannins; there also is an enjoyable acidic bite in the mouth, akin to pressed cranberry juice. Still room for development, but excellent now with great potential.
