Thursday, December 10, 2009 - Open for 3 hours prior to decanting. Had some smokey funk that finally blew off. Nose had a pleasant green caramel apple background to the typical dark red leathery fruit. On the palate dried cherries, plums, strawberries, old leather, light pepper and minerals. Tannins still pretty strong but integrated nicely with the strong dark red fruits.
