Thursday, January 21, 2010 - Very nice California Sav. Blanc.; light oak on the nose; bright, crisp fruit on the palate; gentle tartness on the finish. Perfect as a pre-dinner wine; also paired well with asian fusion food (in my case, avacado, wasabi and raw tuna). I usually prefer New Zealand Sav. Blanc for the more subdued fruit and enhanced mineral tones that those wines typically have (lacking here) - but this is a great expression of California-style Sav. Blanc, well worth the price
