Monday, April 26, 2010 - Gorgeous dark purple moving towards black. Decanted for 45 minutes. Huge fruit, old mulberries, and a bit of barnyard musk on the nose. Notes of red licorice, overripe blackberries, blueberries, and hints of coffee and tar. These notes ebb and flow on the 45-second finish. Solid mouth-feel and structure. This is a very tasty, bordering on delicious, wine. I was very surprised to note the high 15.5% alcohol - this doesn't drink or smell hot at all.
