Friday, April 30, 2010 - Color: garnet at the center with a brick red tinge out to a rusted ruby color at the rim.
Smell: earth, dried cranberries, cherries, cedar, and a hint of heat that is barely detectable.
Taste: light-medium bodied wine showcasing bright red fruits with earthly flavors and a hint of oak on the tail end of the wine.
Overall: A well structured wine that showcases wonderful typicity of style and region with just a tad of heat detracting from the overall quality. I think it might be best to drink this in the next year or two based on the presence of the heat on the palate...
