Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 89.5 points

  • After a day in the bottle the heat has dissipated completely in presence on the nose and the palate. The wine is something elegant and delicate today...a wine I would love to drink another time. This might just be a 2003 that beat the heat...

  • Color: garnet at the center with a brick red tinge out to a rusted ruby color at the rim.

Smell: earth, dried cranberries, cherries, cedar, and a hint of heat that is barely detectable.

Taste: light-medium bodied wine showcasing bright red fruits with earthly flavors and a hint of oak on the tail end of the wine.

Overall: A well structured wine that showcases wonderful typicity of style and region with just a tad of heat detracting from the overall quality. I think it might be best to drink this in the next year or two based on the presence of the heat on the palate...
