Wednesday, May 12, 2010 - Plum skin, charred wood, camphor, au jus on the nose. Ripe with a slight balsamic edge but not over the edge, shows a little tension. The flavors move to stony red fruits along with plum, vibrant limestone minerals and more meat juice. A slightly leathery finish of good length. More alive in the mouth than on the nose. Could do with a little acidity and breadth.
