Friday, August 6, 2010 - Deep transparent ruby in color. A big, bold nose of ripe cherries, minerals, truffle, and wood was fairly impressive. The wine was medium full in body, with good rich fruit, nice minerality, and energetic acidity. It was not that complex, or well defined; however, I would guess it was a touch on the young side. The finish was of decent length but I felt as though it was a bit harsh and tannic.
