Saturday, August 21, 2010 - medium ruby, beautiful oaky nose. Dry, red fruits, well balanced tannins & acid. This is a lovely wine with good mouth feel. Vanilla present in the oak finish. I have been critical of this negociant's offerings being of questionable & variable quality, but this one is worth the tariff, while probably over priced, compares with high value offerings very well. Finishing off a week later, the oak has left with a ripe plum remaining, a little tannin on the finish. Still OK, but best drunk within a few days, although I originally opened and re-corked this bottle after a tasting 6 months ago.
