Saturday, October 2, 2010 - Dark core with a lightish rim. Nose of raspberry and a slightly animal note on opening that soon blew off. Later the nose was more crisp red fruit and a slight hint of black olive. In the mouth this wine showed nice balance with cherry and kirsch and that classic Chianti acidity and a nice medium length finish that makes you want another sip. A good mid priced Chianti, an excellent food wine.
