Saturday, February 5, 2011 - Luncheon of Champions (Yountville, CA): Penetrating soil and shell aromas. Notably more delicate, lacy, and floral, and less strict, than the Clos. An almost Beaune honeysuckle quality. Great fanfare of a finish. A tiny bit of finishing warmth – artifact of the vintage perhaps. Another very fine bottle from a local reseller.
