Friday, March 4, 2011 - Very dark fruits, oak, spice and some pepper - reminded me of an Australian shiraz rather than a bordeaux blend. Medium body with plenty of structure and firm tannins. Has a slightly brambly, chewy character that is both unusual and enjoyable. Medium to long, fruity and slightly acidic finish - but also very drying. Overall quite enjoyable on the palate, but the dry aftertaste is a bit too pronounced.
