Sunday, April 3, 2011 - The nose is multi-faceted with blackcurrant, cherry, green pepper, eucalyptus, and a touch of licorice and black pepper. The taste is ultra-smooth with rich cherry, gentle strawberry, and sweet vanilla. The finish is uber-smooth with a little bit of cocoa and super-refined tannins that are gentle, yet prominent. This wine is really really good and I really wish I bought more of it for the $16 price tag. In fact, I wish I would have bought a truckload more.
