Sunday, May 1, 2011 - Very powerful and expressive nose upon opening with some herbal and meaty notes. Palate is rather modern, or Californian, with lots of tannins that are somewhat rough and astringent. Not the most elegant Bordeaux. The concentration is good, and the vintage is very evident. Very good, but not outstanding. 2003 was a tough year.
