90 Points

Thursday, May 5, 2011 - Nice subtle flavors, really surprising for a 2003 from Gevrey. Red cherry, nicely ripe and balanced. Showing a bit of the classic Gevrey density and power on the finish, but not what I'd expect from a CSJ. I have a bunch in the cellar and won't revisit for another 3-5 years to see if the flavors start evolving from very good Pinot Noir to very good Gevrey.
