Saturday, May 7, 2011 - Popped, decanted and drank over a few hours. Ruby red with some light transmission in the glass, no sediment. Still very young with a green tannic nose, some smells of ripening red cherries and mocha made with skim milk. This wine is still tight and not revealing alot yet even with air time. The midpalate was restrained and mid weight. The finish was uneventful and of minimal length.
The verdict is still out on this wine. I would give it atleast 3 more years of cellar time before trying again. Everyday drinker?
