Thursday, May 26, 2011 - Surprisingly tropical, along with that classic Batard-Montrachet lushness. Very open and ripe, but also a dense wine. Nose shows pineapple and some ripe stone fruit. Similar on the palate, with perhaps a touch of still unresolved oak. Wine showed exactly the same the second day. No hurry to drink this quickly, and perhaps the tropical character might soften with more time.
