Friday, June 10, 2011 - P&P at party. Color dark ruby, clear, medium body. Reticent bouquet of blackberries, dark plums, a little spice, and oak. On taste, delicious dark fruit, sweet spice, toasty oak. Modest tannins, medium finish. Overall pleasant (87), but I did not enjoy it as much as the '08 Adelsheim Willamette we had a couple months ago. Coming back to this later, my palate must have been wrecked after drinking a Sagrantino, because this tasted quite sweet and very simple.
