Saturday, July 16, 2011 - Clear clean color, pale edges, a burgundy center.

Tasted after being opened for 8 hours (not decanted as far as i was told) and set in the fridge.

Intense raspberry, raspberry bush and other red berries. Very transparent reflecting terroir and showing a very elegant femininity!
On the palate it's superbly balanced between berries, floral notes, sweet spices, ripe subtle tannins and acidity. Intense but elegant still...

The finish is long and leaves you wanting for more, with notes of berries and flowers coating the mouth.

A very good example of both the terroir of Les Charmes and of Bertheaus style!
