Tuesday, August 2, 2011 - Light yellow. Here is the mysterious nose of Chablis, full of herbs, broth and notes of the sea. Light, agile with some faint orange tones and great acidity (especially for the year). Finer, livelier and more complex than the excellent Raveneau Premier Cru we has alongside this. Probably more ready and approachable than a bottle a year ago. Not a powerful wine but still as good as it gets. The purity and focus in contrast to the Raveneau were quite striking tonight.
