Monday, August 22, 2011 - Decanted 4 hours, consumed over two days. Offered graphite and dark berries on the nose. Massive tannins on the palate dominated, indicating just how young this wine is and how long you need to leave it alone before revisiting. Opened up considerably overnight, with dark berries, leather and graphite coming out more. Long finish. Those tannins need 10 years or more to settle down.
