Sunday, August 28, 2011 - Not decanted. Bright dark red showing little signs of age. Spicy, herby Côte du Rhône style. Still fresh with rich berry fruits and the start of some aromas. Good balance, still tannins on the finish but plenty of fruit to support. Paired with pork fillet in Serrano ham, red onion confit and braised endive and was an excellent match to the sweetness of the confit, bitterness of the endive and saltiness of the ham. Excellent (90-94)
