Monday, September 5, 2011 - Decanted about an hour before dinner. Dark purple, no real signs of age. Classic Sangiovese nose, dark fruits, a bit smoky. Full, balanced taste on the palate - drinking well now. Paired with beef tenderloin grilled with a coating of herbs and garlic. Very enjoyable.
