Friday, October 28, 2011 - Dark garnet/purple color. Nose: pomegranate, crushed blackberry, and black plum fruit with tar, grape candy, sage/lavender herbs, and a hint of orange peel. Medium/full body on the silky palate: pomegranate and black plum fruit with blackberry pie, orange peel, masala chai, lavender, and a little molasses. Medium acidity. Moderate/lighter tannins. Lingering blackberry skin, orange peel, and a hint of molasses on the long finish. Seductive, silky Zin. Relatively well balanced. Gorgeous fruit, good complexity, tremendous deliciousness factor. Drink now.
