Saturday, November 5, 2011 - Medium red. Somewhat reserved the first 30 mins. Proceeds to open up with sour red cherry and strawberry fruit and a whiff of chalk. Just a tiny bit of dryness from the oak, but the oak doesn't get in the way of the fruit and I suspect it will integrate nicely with a few more years in the cellar. Elegant and full of pleasure, but a bit on the lean side. Not a profound wine, but at $12.50 (on sale) it doesn't need to be either.
