Saturday, December 10, 2011 - Beautiful deep purple color in the body with an almost halo like lighter purple on the rim. The nose was full of sweet red cherry and raisin flavor. The wine has several well integrated layers of fruit that keep evolving in your mouth. Sweet cherry is the dominate flavor but red licorice is there as well. Total joy in a glass of port - the finish is silky smooth and leaving you wanting more.
