Friday, March 2, 2012 - Plum color. Still looks young. Decanted for 6 hours before returning to bottle. Initial taste prior to and after decanting shows lots of fruit. Just a tinge of heat/alcohol, but very nice. Day two - heat dissipating. Fruit shining through beautifully. Day3&4 - Wow! Fantastic. No residual heat. Tannins still evident but just the way you want them to be. This is drinking perfectly now. Was going to pair with some rich ice cream or cheesecake but couldn't do it. Tastes too good by itself. Almost perfect. Surprisingly much better than the last time I sampled this vintage a couple years ago.
